• DMEA programme published
• Deep dive in seminars, solutions hubs and tours
• DMEA 2026 from 21 to 23 April 2026 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds

Once again, the focus of the stages at DMEA 2026 will be on the digital future of healthcare. DMEA presents a congress programme that covers the entire spectrum of innovative technologies, practical applications and forward-looking concepts – from AI-supported hospital processes and smart care solutions to data-driven research. The entire DMEA 2026 congress programme can be found on the website and will be continuously updated.

Top sessions at a glance

The congress programme focuses on data-driven innovations and how health data can be used securely, confidently and sensibly in future, particularly in the context of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The discussions will cover the development of national and European infrastructures, as well as the practical benefits of data for research, care and patient access. Other topics will include sovereign cloud solutions, IT security, and trustworthy operating models for the healthcare sector, covering everything from regulatory requirements to practical implementation in clinics and care organisations. In addition, there will be numerous sessions devoted to digital transformation in everyday healthcare: artificial intelligence, electronic patient records and telemedicine will be examined from a regulatory perspective as well as in terms of practicality, integration and benefits for patients.

Political discussion formats – with the participation of the Federal Ministry of Health, gematik and bvitg – will classify developments in terms of health policy. The DMEA programme thus combines strategic questions about the future with concrete solutions.

The DMEA nova section is specifically aimed at digital health start-ups. These panels will address all the issues that concern company founders. On the first day of the fair, for example, the focus will be on what matters most to healthcare investors. The second day will focus on 'vitamin B' – business angels – and how they can help healthcare start-ups to succeed.

This year's DMEA sparks panels range from inclusion to next-generation networking: for example, gender medicine, accessible digital health solutions and bridges between academia, research and industry will be examined.

Seminar programme, solutions hubs & expert tours

In addition to the main programme, DMEA 2026 offers a seminar programme with practical sessions in which specialist knowledge is deepened and current developments are discussed. The topics of this year's seminars are: ‘EUDI Wallet in practice – use cases and implementation’, ‘C5 certification for service providers’, ‘Improving quality of care through telemedicine: opportunities & use cases’ and ‘Understanding and implementing EHDS together’. Tickets for the exclusive DMEA seminars are available in the online ticket shop on the DMEA website.

In the Solutions Hubs, exhibiting companies will present their innovative products and solutions live on site – from digital practice management to AI-supported clinic tools and much more.

Trade visitors can also take part in more than 40 DMEA tours spread over the three days of the event. This year's focus is on:

1. Strong together for tomorrow's healthcare – regionally networked, close to people.
2. Digital. Effective. Future. – Shaping e-medicine & e-care
3. Focus on patients: Empowerment as the key to better decisions
4. Resilient technology for secure digital solutions – Trust and stability in practice
5. Focus on value & quality – Thinking about processes efficiently and effectively
6. European framework conditions & strategies

In addition, there will also be tours of the additional category ‘Beyond the Horizon: Impulses for Digital Healthcare’.

Awards for young talent and start-ups in digital health

On the second day of DMEA, the DMEA sparks Award will be presented, which traditionally honours outstanding bachelor's and master's theses in the field of digital health. On the third day, the DMEA nova Award will once again be presented to the most innovative digital health start-up. Twenty finalists will compete against each other in several pitch rounds to convince the expert jury of their ideas for the healthcare sector.

Tickets for DMEA are available from the online ticket shop on the DMEA website.
