eHealth-Slam: Call for Papers

conhIT, Europe’s most important event for the health IT industry, is not only where all the leading health IT suppliers meet. Besides the Congress and Academy it also hosts numerous Networking events. One of these is the eHealth Slam, which was launched at conhIT 2016. It gives speakers the opportunity to present practically oriented eHealth projects to a wide audience in an entertaining manner.

The main feature of a slam is the opportunity it gives to present topics and projects in unusual and entertaining ways. Speakers are encouraged to fill their time slot with anything they wish: props, experiments, demonstrations, assistants, interviews…

Fascinate the audience with an unconventional presentation! Conventional product and company presentations will not be accepted.

Using every means possible each speaker has 8 minutes to convince the audience – they will be the judges and pick the winner.

1st place: 500 Euro
2nd place: 250 Euro
3rd place: 100 Euro

Anyone wishing to take part has until 12 March 2018 to apply. Prize money totalling 850 euros awaits the winners.

A panel consisting of students, scientists and members of industry will make an advance selection. After examining all the submissions they will choose the most entertaining entries on eHealth topics.

The final selection will be announced mid-March 2018. The eHealth Slam will take place at conhIT on 18 April 2018.

Each of the speakers chosen will receive a free ticket to conhIT (17 – 19 April 2018, Messe Berlin). Their attendance on 18 April is mandatory. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
