ID: Reducing costs and securing returns – working together to improve service documentation
Hospitals with a high level of digitalisation achieve more efficient returns than those where a large part of medical and nursing documentation still takes place on paper. It concerns small and medium-sized facilities which are in a catch-22 situation. Incomplete documentation leads to lower returns, low returns hinder investment and any progress with digitalisation. But even in larger hospitals interconnected solutions are lacking.
For hospitals, the size of a project and excessive costs are often daunting prospects. Often the mantra is “never change a running system“. However, in many areas of the documentation chain there are hidden returns waiting to be unlocked which hospitals can cash in on. A conversion to ID software products can solve this problem. Every ID product supplemented by an ID DIACOS® coding solution achieves more efficient returns.
For example, using ID Clinical Context Coding software it is possible to examine documents for hidden services and suggest them for coding. At the same time, ID MEDICS® mirrors the entire medication process in hospitals. Using the MD module of the ID EFIX® controlling solution, you can easily deal with almost any medical service enquiries. All ID products complement each other. There is no need to carry out large-scale restructuring of every documentation process to make them work.

At DMEA, Meierhofer will introduce its expanded portfolio of managed service offerings. The software specialist provides parts of the services itself, works with selected partners and assumes the role of general contractor. This means that hospitals do not have to maintain their own staff for the provision of IT services, but benefit from expert know-how, high availability, defined service and support services, and predictable costs, which is becoming increasingly relevant in the MDD and MDR environment.
Within the framework of the Meierhofer Academy, the company offers a holistic training concept that is completely geared to the needs of everyday hospital life. If required, training is available as a face-to-face event or as an online format enriched with consultation hours as a functionally coordinated combination.
