About the jury member
Dr. Chris Rehse is a founder, CEO, venture builder, and transatlantic deep tech operator. He has extensive experience in building and scaling science-based startups in Europe and the US, with a particular focus on translating research innovations into clinically validated and economically scalable solutions.
He co-founded Navan Technologies, a biotech spin-off from his time at Stanford University, and subsequently founded neotiv, a European digital health and medtech company focused on diagnostics for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease. In both startups, he gained extensive practical experience in bringing scientific developments from the laboratory to regulated healthcare markets – including clinical validation, regulatory strategy, financing, and international expansion in both directions: from the US to Europe and from Europe to the US.
He is also active in key innovation ecosystems. He is the lead of the German Startups Association – Berlin; venture builder at KTH Innovation in Stockholm; advisor for SPARK – Berlin, Stanford; the Bertelsmann Foundation – Digital Patient; and board member for innovation at Labor Berlin – Charité | Vivantes.
