• Young professionals meet top employers: Networking opportunities for students and graduates with leading companies in the digital health sector
• Interactive & practical: Career rally, application coaching and professional headshots on site
• Focus on excellence: Presentation of the DMEA sparks Award 2026 for outstanding academic work
DMEA sparks is the ideal starting point for the next generation of digital health professionals. From 21 to 23 April 2026, Hall 6.2 at Messe Berlin will become a central hub for students, graduates and young professionals looking to launch or advance their careers in the digital health sector.
Networking, guidance and real career opportunities
DMEA sparks is the platform for exchange, guidance and concrete entry-level opportunities. As part of a skilled workforce initiative, targeted contacts will be established between up-and-coming talent and leading companies in the sector. Interactive formats such as the career rally offer low-threshold access to HR experts – including fun quiz elements and prizes.
The programme is complemented by a comprehensive application camp featuring free coaching sessions, professional application photos and guided tours specifically for young professionals.
“We want to pass on our enthusiasm for digital health directly to the next generation. DMEA sparks is far more than just a recruitment platform – here we are laying the foundations for careers that are not only at the cutting edge of technology, but also actively and meaningfully help shape the healthcare system of tomorrow.” Doreen Kempa, Project Manager, DMEA sparks
A platform for ideas, debates and the next generation
In terms of content, DMEA sparks also offers a diverse programme in April: in his keynote speech, content creator Fabian Grischkat will explore the political influence of Gen Z on social media. Further highlights include an expert debate on the gender health gap with Brenya Adjei, Managing Director of gematik, as well as sessions on future skills and European perspectives on starting a career in the healthcare sector.
The comprehensive DMEA sparks programme can be found on the DMEA online platform.
DMEA sparks Award for outstanding final-year projects
A particular highlight is the presentation of the DMEA sparks Award on 22 April 2026. The award recognises outstanding Bachelor’s and Master’s theses that provide innovative impetus for digital healthcare. From now on, interested parties can view the finalists’ theses on the DMEA YouTube channel and vote for the most outstanding work.
This year’s Sparks partners are DMI, Thieme, the Friedrich Wingert Foundation and bvitg e. V..
Tickets for the DMEA are available from the online ticket shop on the DMEA website.
